Who is Mad Fish?
Hello, I'm Michelle - aka Mad Fish - sometimes crazy-mad and sometimes just plain mad. Crazy about Nature, but really mad about inequity - for people and the planet.
I work for money and I donate my time to community and environmental not-for-profit groups. A quirky sense of humour and a life-long curiosity about what makes people tick inform my approach to design. I believe in the power of the image to bring about change.
I love researching and designing memes, flyers and infographics to educate people about the issues we and our environment are confronting in a climate changing world.
Working with sole traders running small eco-friendly businesses is one of my favourite things.
Starting out as a traditional visual artist, I've worked in the creative industries as an exhibiting artist, sessional academic for Curtin and ECU, and as a TAFE lecturer in visual art and graphic design. I am a Doctor of Creative Arts (art/philosophy) and completed a Diploma of Concept Art with CG Spectrum, focusing on digital drawing.
If you would like to pay me to work for you, or collaborate on a project, please get in touch.
